Qualcomm buys Eaton’s Information Services Division
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions has purchased the assets of Eaton’s Trucking Information Services business unit.
The deal included Eaton’s FleetAdvisor transportation-logistics operation.
The purchase price included an undisclosed cash payment plus “additional compensation” based on FleetAdvisor software sales as well as the number of Qualcomm’s OmniTRACS systems sold by Eaton. No other breakdown was given.
The FleetAdvisor system includes both hardware and software. n
