Quebec has altered its thaw dates

QUEBEC CITY, Que. – All of Quebec’s thaw restrictions have ended thanks to the Ministry of Transport.

The regulatory and enforcement body has moved the removal dates forward in two areas.

In zones two and three, the restrictions ended earlier: in Zone 2, by May 16 instead of May 19, and in Zone 3, by May 21 rather than May 26.

In Zone 1, the restrictions ended May 16, instead of ending May 5.

The ministry notes the changes were due to weather conditions; some areas have seen milder than normal temperatures, while the southern area has seen colder than seasonal temperatures. n
