Quebec roads are a disgrace

Dear Editor:

I am a long-haul truck driver and have travelled many roads in North America. Nothing compares to the poor roads in Quebec. I was passing through Montreal recently and encountered many construction sites and detours. I thought to myself, ‘How can the roads be so bad here? They are always working on them.’ Then it occurred to me. Every time I pass through, day or night, no-one is working. Only the traffic control people. I think that the Quebec government is blowing the road budget on concrete jersey barriers and pylons!

By the time that they are set up, it is time to take them down for the winter. Maybe they could pick one project and actually finish it!
