NISKU, Alta. – Edmonton’s Raydan Manufacturing Inc. has brought its proprietary Air Link suspension system for tandem steer to the Canadian market.

“The Air Link for tandem steer was released into the U.S. market last year and has resulted in tremendous growth in our tandemization division,” said Ray English, president and CEO at Raydan. “Revenues in the segment have increased by 58 per cent over the last three months alone.”

English said Raydan is receiving a significant number of orders from heavy truck manufacturers and their dealers, and now that Mack Trucks offers the Air Link for tandem rear at a factory level Raydan is also seeing trucks coming straight from the factory to be tandemized with the Air Link.

In addition to the Air Link, which Raydan says is the only air ride walking beam suspension available for tandem steer, the company also offers a spring suspension. These trucks are destined for use in the oilfield, redi-mix, waste, construction, dump and mining industries.
