Roll tarps get nod

WINNIPEG, Man. – Following a presentation made last month to a regional task force on weights and dimensions, the Manitoba Trucking Association says Manitoba will amend its regulations to allow the use of roll tarps. The province joins B.C., Saskatchewan and Quebec – not too mention the U.S. – in permiting fleets to use the specialized equipment. The MTA is still hoping to see acceptance in Alberta. n
