WINDSOR, Ont. – The Ambassador Bridge wants to move ahead with removing stoplights on Huron Church Rd. and creating a pre-clearance centre outside the city for commercial vehicles.
Ambassador Bridge representatives have attended all public meetings about the Windsor Gateway since the release of a report by a joint federal-provincial committee studying proposals for a Windsor Gateway, and executive vice-president Remo Mancini says they’ve listened to the community.
“There are many things we agree upon, we agree the process must move forward and the removal of stoplights must begin immediately,” he says. Bridge officials say they are looking forward to continued community input to develop an environmentally-friendly solution that supports cross-border trade.
