Stop the country, one truck at a time

Dear editor,

I have read your editorial in the February issue of Truck News (In with a bang, but it’s gone out with a whimper) and fully agree with it.

I would like to join such a group for the long haul in this industry.

However, for the moment, I believe that if all trucks were to park for 24 hours, we would get the public’s and governments’ attention on such matters.

It is a known fact that, if a truck didn’t bring it, you didn’t get.

It is my belief that all would understand that line if this industry were to stop for the 24 hours.

As long as we are acting as individuals on these matters nothing will ever be accomplished.

There is strength in numbers, the government and public sector know this and that is why we are in this state.
