CALGARY, Alta. – TCT Logistics Inc. has launched an E-commerce pilot project to deliver chocolates baked by Kraft Canada Inc.’s Jacobs Suchard Canada division in time for Christmas.

TCT Logistics says the project uses its advanced Supply Chain Management Technology, “to supply retailers and confectionery stores with such Jacobs Suchard Canada brands as Terry’s, Altoids, Toblerone and Balance.”

The company says Jacobs Suchard’s website, “allows for the purchase of the traditional seasonal products such as the Festive sleeved Toblerone 400g Swiss milk chocolate bars and the Terry’s Chocolate Orange” and a new line of “premium Suchard box chocolates and Milka all family chocolate treats.”

TCT Logistics quotes Marilyn Miller, director of Jacobs Suchard Canada, as saying, “We worked hard to create this new way of doing business. To the best of my knowledge this is the first time temperature controlled confectionery products have been made available over the Internet.”

TCT Logistics said it will handle order fulfillment on behalf of Jacobs Suchard. n
