The Elements of Stability
Money is by far the main reason drivers jump ship. An overwhelming 89 per cent of the survey respondents said they would leave their present employer for a fatter paycheque. On the surface that response may seem in line with every other occupation in the market place. But perhaps it also indicates that carriers are not doing a good enough job of creating a sense of identity and belonging for their drivers. As a result, drivers may have nothing better with which to differentiate the different carriers in the market than by how much they pay.
