OSHAWA, Ont. – Former OBAC accountant Tony Leckie appeared in an Oshawa courtroom for a third time April 26 to face a charge of fraud over $5,000.

During his brief appearance it was announced Leckie would be meeting with a lawyer – Alex Sosna of Oshawa. It was not clear whether Leckie would definitely be retaining Sosna, nor whether he still plans to obtain representation through legal aid, as announced at his last court appearance in March.

Leckie’s case was remanded to May 17.

Leckie allegedly absconded with funds belonging to OBAC in September 2002 – just days after the association’s launch.
