Despite the distinct downturn in the automotive industry the last couple of years, and the hauls to the US and back that supported it, the border crossings in Windsor, Sarnia and Fort Erie still control the lion’s share of border trade moved by truck. Emerson in Manitoba and Lacolle in Quebec make a distant appearance in the top five with 5% or less of total road trade.
