WINNIPEG, Man. – TransX has recognized the company’s most senior driver, Joe Nayanokee, for his more than 30 years of service.
TransX employees receive years of service awards at the five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 year level of driving service.
When a TransX driver reaches the 30-year mark, they can select any type of company truck to replace their existing tractor. Nayanokee was presented with a fully-loaded, upgraded 2007 Peterbilt at a safety banquet in Winnipeg Jan. 9.
“This is a great place to drive for and drivers and owner/operators are happy to come here and stay here,” said Nayanokee, a status Ojibway native, who started with the company in 1976 when the fleet was made up of just 10 owner/operators.
“I am looking forward to finishing my driving career here as a company driver, especially driving my brand new truck.”
