PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Invention Submission Corporation (ISC) has announced that an inventor from Louisville, Ky. has developed the Truckers Eye, a system that would alert truck drivers when it is possible to proceed after they have been stopped for a long time.
The Truckers Eye is designed for use when a driver is stuck in traffic or waiting for another truck to be loaded or unloaded at a dock. The invention is designed to allow drivers to make productive use of this idle time by filling in log books rather than watching out the window, waiting for the situation to change. Designed to be easy to install, remove and operate, the Truckers Eye could also be designed to work with CB radios. The inventor’s work experience as a professional driver provided the inspiration for developing the Truckers Eye.
“Having encountered many traffic jams and road closures, I realized that truckers could use an alert system like this instead of wasting time that could be spent doing other things,” he said.It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
