EDMONTON, Alta. – Truckers Pal touch screen kiosks will soon be available at truck stops in the U.S.

The news comes after the company recently announced expansion across Western Canada and into the Maritimes. Now it plans to follow through by adding four kiosk installations in the U.S. by June, in Gary, Michigan City, Porter and Demontt, Indiana. And another 12 should be in place by August, says Dave Fenn, president of Truckers Pal.

The touch screen kiosks are placed in truck stops, allowing drivers to access e-mail, fax machines and other important information. The system is accessed using Scancards, which can be purchased individually or in bulk form. The kiosks are located on direct routes to U.S./Canada border crossings so drivers can use them to send documents to customs brokers.

Canadian locations so far include truck stops in Arnprior, Belleville and London, Ont. with Western Canadian locations including Winnipeg, Kamloops and Chilliwack. For more information on Truckers Pal kiosks or to order Scancards in bulk, call 1-866-682-6651.
