U.S. has been patient enough

Dear editor:

I am writing as a private citizen who is absolutely enraged by the Executive Publisher’s Comment by Ted Light that appeared in the March issue of Truck News (about U.S. intentions to wage war in Iraq).

Mr. Light’s misguided comments clearly show that for the past 12 years or more, the man has had no access to a T.V. or radio.

His blatant anti-American sentiment is disgusting to someone who was born and maintains a residence in the U.S. It is comments and opinions like these that will help to alienate the U.S. and give them reason to further fortify their border with Canada (their unsupportive neighbor to the North).

This could lead to additional wait times at the border, paperwork, headaches and even possible refusal to entry for those truckers trying to make a living. This is a funny position to take for a publication that is devoted to furthering the interests of truckers across Canada.

He wants facts. During his regime, Saddam has killed millions of people. Saddam has clearly tried to acquire nuclear weapons (thank God for the Israelis), and has used weapons of mass destruction on his own people. Those are the facts Mr. Light. How dare you put Mr. Bush on the same level as Saddam?

Care to revise your comments?
