COUTTS, Alta. – The Coutts, Alta., North Portal, Sask. and Emerson, Man. border crossings are the latest to join the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program.

The implementation of FAST at the three western crossings was announced in May. The crossings join the Pacific-Highway crossing in B.C., four border crossings in Ontario and one in Quebec as the nation’s port of entries that currently participate in the program.

All major commercial crossings will participate in the FAST program by the end of 2004, says the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
