Where is Customs info?

Dear Editor,

In your May 2000 issue we read a very interesting article on the federal government’s plan to modernize and redesign Canada Customs procedures meant to speed up low-risk shipments heading across the border.

Under the Customs Self-Assessment (CSA) regime, shipments into Canada will be cleared at the border with the simple recording of the driver, the carrier and the importer.

Can you please advise who we can contact to obtain more information on this topic?

Ed: Your best bet for more information on this program is to surf the Internet to www.ccra-adrc.gc.ca. Once there, you will also be able to find contact names specific to your region.
