FULLERTON, Cal. – Yokohama has unveiled the MY507A – a durable tire the company says is ideal for concrete mixers, dump trucks and garbage trucks.

The tire features an anti-chip compound to improve durability and a deep groove depth of 23/32-in.-24/32-inch.

STEM-2 technology has also been used to reduce internal heat and stress while protecting the casing.

“The new compound means a dump truck or concrete mixer can better handle the hazards of a construction site and a garbage truck can better manage the most treacherous landfill,” says John Cooney, director of commercial sales for Yokohama. “The compound and design were developed together in our Japanese research facilities, specifically for this market.”

Currently, the MY507A is available in 385/65R22.5. Other sizes will soon be available as well.

The MY507A is also backed by a four-year limited warranty through two retreads.
