Driver, owner charged after wheels come off truck
A truck traveling along the Toronto-bound Queen Elizabeth Way lost its wheels near Netherby Road in Fort Erie, Ont. on Nov. 7, Niagara Ontario Provincial Police said.
No injuries were reported, as the runaway wheels did not hit any other vehicles, according to an OPP post on X. Police said the 37-year-old driver from Winnipeg and the Alberta-based corporate owner were both charged with multiple Highway Traffic Act violations and issued summonses to appear in court.
The OPP reminded drivers and carriers of their responsibility to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and operated safely.

When all these fasteners are breaking it is time to look into who made these fasteners. A few years ago one of my customers was having trouble with frames coming loose. We found that the fasteners from china were to blame. these fasteners were too brittle. The other side of the coin was he mechanics were not using torque wrenches. I have found that far too many ire shops are not using torque wrenches correctly.
