Police find truck, driver wanted in collision that killed tow truck operator
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have located the commercial motor vehicle and identified the driver wanted in connection with a fatal collision on Highway 401 that killed a tow truck operator.
Sergeant Ed Sanchuk said in a video posted on social media platform X that investigations are continuing.
On Dec. 3 at 7:18 a.m., members of the Oxford OPP detachment, paramedic services and fire services responded to a fail-to-remain collision in the westbound lanes, west of Oxford Road 3 in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.
Emergency crews found a tow truck operator who had been struck by an unknown vehicle while assisting a motorist. The 42-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont. was pronounced dead at the scene. Sanchuk said no further information would be released as the investigation continues.

So true, & it’s been there for the 50 years that l’ve held my commercial license. Ontario seems to be the worst of all the Canadian & U.S. areas l’ve trucked through.
Let’s hope it’s jail time and license revoked for life. He took the life of another person knowing full well the law of move over or slow down. The driving culture needs to change as well. Everyone looks 10 feet in front of them and not further down the road for upcoming obstructions. There’s also this mentality where “This is my lane ! Don’t you dare come in it !” Police do nothing nowadays to enforce the laws and just let it happen.
