Prospective drivers attend introduction to trucking boot camp

About 100 prospective truck drivers attended an introduction to trucking boot camp in Toronto organized by the Toronto Business Development Centre.

The event featured speakers who shared their experiences, life stories, benefits of trucking, what they look for in new drivers, best practices, and pathways to becoming a trucker.



A virtual reality simulator allowed attendees to experience driving a truck first-hand.

“We hope this educational event makes a meaningful difference for those looking to join the industry. It’s crucial that they now have a clearer understanding of the real expectations and are aware of the various pathways to obtaining their licence and training,” Mustafa Ansari, TBDC marketing associate said in a news release.
