MARKHAM, Ont. — The Guarantee Company of North America has been named a sponsor of the Best Fleets to Drive For seminar series, currently underway throughout Canada.

The seminar series highlights the best practices of fleets that have been recognized as Best Fleets to Drive For through a contest run by the Truckload Carriers Association and CarriersEdge. Other series sponsors include Truck News, Marsh Canada and eCompliance.

“The Best Fleets to Drive For Seminar Series includes a wealth of valuable information,” said Angelique Magi, vice-president, transportation and strategic initiatives, The Guarantee. “We’re proud to sponsor an event that encourages thought leadership and the sharing of ideas to help fleets improve all areas of their businesses.”

In addition to sponsoring the series, the company’s representatives will speak at select events. Topics will include security, privacy and identity theft issues as they relate to technology adoption in the trucking industry.

“Many of the best practices we discuss are technology-based, so privacy and security are critical,” noted Mark Murrell, president of CarriersEdge. “As a specialty insurer with one of its major focus segments being transportation, The Guarantee has some excellent insights in these areas and we’re very excited to have them speaking on this subject at the seminars.”

Remaining dates for the free, half-day seminars include: May 28, London, Ont.; May 29, Toronto, Ont.; May 30, Ottawa, Ont.; June 4, Kitchener, Ont.; June 5, Montreal, Que.; June 6,  Moncton, N.B.; June 11, Windsor, Ont.; and June 13, Regina, Sask.

Those interested in attending must pre-register by calling Judi at 905-530-2430, or by registering at www.BestFleetsToDriveFor.com.
