Accelerometer technology makes for smooth stops for Odyssey Brake Control

LODI, Calif. — Valley Industries introduces the Odyssey Brake Control featuring patent pending double-axis accelerometer technology that continually adjusts for varying road terrain changes.

During a braking event, Odyssey senses the vehicle’s rate of deceleration and applies a proportionate amount of braking force at precise intervals for a smooth and seamless stop.

Designed for light to heavy duty applications (1 to 4 axle trailers) with 2-8 brake systems, Odyssey features four independent power level settings. Each level increases power to the trailer brakes making the Odyssey fully adjustable for different trailer types and loads.

“The Odyssey brake controller provides safe, smooth braking power for all types of towing, from recreational vehicle trailers to car haulers, horse and livestock trailers to utility trailers,” said Bryan Fletcher, president, Valley Industries.

An adjustable manual override allows the user to manually apply the trailer brakes if needed. Odyssey also incorporates a polarity protected control that will not be destroyed in the event the power and ground wires are connected backwards.

With an easy-to-read digital display, Odyssey continually advises drivers to a positive trailer connection and power level. The unit creates no output interference with electrical and cruise control systems, or anti-lock brakes.
