TMW Systems has integrated ALK Technologies’ Multi-Version Switch (MVS) tool with its TMWSuite software, giving carriers real-time data from every facet of their operations in a single system. The integrated MVS tool
enables PC*Miler users to access multiple versions on the same server.

Accessing the MVS tool via TMWSuite, customers can assign specific PC*Miler versions to individual shippers
according to that shipper’s contract. TMWSuite will then use the correct version to calculate that shipper’s billing miles. Before MVS, older versions had to run in separate computer environments, with separate maintenance
costs and setup fees. MVS removes that complication and streamlines bidding and billing processes.

When ALK releases an update to PC*Miler, the new version does not have to replace previous versions. MVS enables users to maintain two or more versions of the software on a single computer or network server, including the most recent one. The integrated version of MVS supports PC*Miler 14 through the current release #20.

MVS provides a practical advantage for many customers who base transportation contracts on a specific version of PC*Miler. Terms of a contract may extend beyond one or more regular updates of the software.

MVS is an enhanced function of PC*Miler|Connect, integration software that interfaces routing and mileage
functionality with all leading and custom transportation and logistics management software systems. Like
TMWSuite, ALK’s MVS runs in a Microsoft Windows environment.
