APTA reminds drivers to clean snow and ice off trailers

DIEPPE, N.B. — It is that time of year again when carriers must pay attention to snow and ice buildup on their trailers.

The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) office has received notice from the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission and the Confederation Bridge, warning that all vehicles must clear off any snow and ice buildup before crossing those bridges.

Failure to comply could result in carriers being refused access to these structures.

APTA intends to work alongside the officials to have ice-clearing stations erected on both sides of the Confederation Bridge.
