APU FINANCING

A new program is available to help truck owner/operators and fleets finance purchases of ComfortPro auxiliary power units from Carrier Transicold. Through the company’s network of APU dealers, flexible terms are offered by Lease Corporation of America (LCA) of Troy, Mich.

“APUs are a great way for truckers to reduce idling and emissions while also complying with regulations,” says Eduardo Andrade, Carrier’s business manager, special products. “We’re supporting them with financing options that ease the initial investment burden so truckers can start reaping the benefits of an APU.

“An APU has a relatively short payback time, but financing the purchase can provide positive cash flow right from the start,” he adds. “It’s not unusual for monthly fuel-cost savings to more than offset monthly installment payment.”

The ComfortPro APU offers an all-electric architecture – the Deltek hybrid diesel-electric technology found in Carrier’s Vector 1800MT trailer refrigeration units.
