Autocar offers more engine options

HAGERSTON, Ind. — Autocar, based in Hagerston, Ind. has announced the addition of three new Cummins approved ratings for their Xpeditor trucks.

Two feature Cummins engines with cooled EGR emissions control technology. The 11-litre ISM-EGR Cummins engines deliver 350 horsepower (1350 ft./lb. torque at 1200 r.p.m.) or 385 horsepower (1450 ft./lb. Torque at 1200 r.p.m.). Both will be available on trucks manufactured beginning Oct. 1. The 350 horse power engine and the 385 horse power version will be available on WX and WXR models only.

The third engine is the Cummins-Westport 8.3 litre C-Gas Plus engine fueled with compressed natural gas (CNG). Currently available only in the WXLL, it will be expanded to the entire Xpeditor line effective Sept. 1.
