WINNIPEG, Man. — Beaver Truck Centre has been named the 2008 Volvo Trucks Canadian Dealer of the Year.

The award honours the dealership’s entire organization and its employees for “overall accomplishment and performance,” according to Volvo.

Selection criteria includes: performance in new truck and parts sales; Volvo engines; customer satisfaction; and investment in facilities. Beaver first opened its doors in April 1997. Barry Searcy is the dealer principal and the dealership boasts 23 service bays and more than 85 employees. It has won numerous awards over the years from Volvo, including being named Canadian Dealer of the Year in 1999 and 2006.

“Our dealers are on the front lines every day, making sure our customers have the trucks, parts and service they need to drive success,” said Per Carlsson, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America.  “It is a pleasure to recognize the outstanding work of our top-performing dealers and the example they set for customer support.”
