Birdseye launches AI-powered Intelligent Gate Management System
Birdseye Security Solutions, a Mississauga, Ont.-based provider of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven remote facility supervision, has launched its Intelligent Gate Management System (iGMS), a fully automated, patented platform designed for the transportation and logistics industry.
The company was awarded a patent for its Real-Time Enhanced Video Surveillance System and a trademark for iGMS, which combines AI with human oversight to improve security, compliance, and efficiency at yard gates.

The iGMS system automates repetitive processes while trained human supervisors monitor activity in real time, ensuring accountability and service quality.
Birdseye’s patented Real-Time AI Video Surveillance System powers its AIQ (Agents in Queue) feature, which detects, classifies, and routes live events to human agents for immediate action. The system distinguishes between actual risks and background activity, improving response accuracy and preventing theft and unauthorized access.
“Our journey began with simple remote monitoring - watching cameras, recording trailer numbers, seal numbers, and license plates,” said Mike Grabovica, CEO of Birdseye Security Solutions, in a news release. “Today, iGMS represents the next evolution: a platform that brings together the best of automation and human oversight. That’s why our customers trust us, and why we’re pleased to continue serving the transportation and logistics industry after so many years.”
The platform integrates with common yard, transport, and warehouse management systems and provides full audit trails, daily reports, and dashboards. It supports facilities processing up to 2,500 transactions per day, reducing gate processing times by as much as 75% and serving as a cost-effective alternative to traditional guard services, the company claims.
