Birdseye views enhance Garmin navigators

Garmin’s dezl OTR610/710/810/1010 trucking navigators now include automatic Birdseye Satellite Imagery that highlights truck entrances, security gates, and loading docks.

Displays themselves come in the form of six-, seven-, eight, or 10-inch touchscreens, while the two largest versions will show a split map that displays the remaining route and impending weather conditions.

The devices can also be mounted in landscape or portrait modes to provide further details of the road ahead.

Other features of the dezl OTR series include a directory that filters truck stops by preferred brand or amenity, PrePass notifications of U.S. weigh stations and bypass decisions, and live traffic and weather notifications when paired with the dezl app on a compatible smart phone.

Map updates cover Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
