MARKHAM, Ont. — Carrier’s Edge, a comprehensive online training system designed specifically for the Canadian trucking industry, has added of two new course titles to its online training library.

Hours-of-Service (2007) addresses the Canadian Hours-of-Service regulations set to go into effect Jan. 1. Available in both Canada-only and Canada-U.S. versions, this new title also includes an optional Pre-Trip Planning and Inspections module for those carriers that include pre-trip in their HOS training. The new Cargo Securement course, based on the North American Cargo Securement Standard, covers a variety of common securement issues including inspection requirements, tie-down placement, and calculation of AWLL.

“These new courses demonstrate our commitment to continually expand and grow the Carrier’s Edge product line,” said Mark Murrell, president of Carrier’s Edge. “Many of our customers are planning to train their drivers on the new HoS regulations through October and November, and with our new Hours-of-Service (2007) course, theyll have an effective, efficient solution for doing that.”
