MARKHAM, Ont. — CarriersEdge, a provider of online driver quality programs, has unveiled version 2.0 of its flagship driver development system. Featuring expanded testing, reporting and analysis tools, CarriersEdge 2.0 is designed to offer carriers better visibility and control over driver quality.

New baseline testing functionality allow fleets to assess driver knowledge and capabilities across a variety of subject areas, then direct drivers to customized training programs that focus on individual areas of weakness, said officials in a release. New data analysis tools pinpoint potential troublespots by subject area, location, or driver, allowing fleets to maximize the effectiveness of existing safety and compliance programs.

Online training modules were also updated to improve the overall effectiveness for drivers with language or literacy challenges.

“The new assessment and analysis tools in CarriersEdge 2.0 offer carriers a wealth of new information about their drivers, said Mark Murrell, president of CarriersEdge. “For the first time, they can see which drivers are struggling and do something about it before those struggles turn into problems on the road.”

Other enhancements to the system include a streamlined interface, greater customization capabilities, and a host of new supporting services.
