CarriersEdge adds training for auto haulers

Drivers working for auto haulers have access to a new training resource provided by CarriersEdge.

The training suite includes auto-hauler cargo inspections and vehicle inspections for stinger steer configurations. A third course dedicated to the procedures for unloading cargo will be released this summer.

The cargo inspection course will address how to identify damage or defects on vehicles being transported, and how to report exceptions. Those who complete the training will learn how to use multiple viewpoints to spot vehicle damage, recognize the difference between common defects, and how to record damage and defects.

The stinger steer course will identify procedures for inspecting decks, ramps and hydraulic components, and how to complete a vehicle inspection report.

Each course incorporates 3D models and photographs, and includes “hotspots” to show how to inspect each area.

The two programs are available at no extra charge through the CarriersEdge subscription service.
