MARKHAM, Ont. — CarriersEdge has extended a deal with KRTS Transportation Specialists to produce videos capturing the school’s training programs.

The videos, designed to serve as job aids and learning reinforcement tools, will be added to CarriersEdge’s library, the companies have announced.

The first two videos are already in development: Pre-trip inspections; and Coupling/uncoupling. They’ll be released in the fourth quarter of 2008, the company said in a release. The videos will initially be released to KRTS students and CarriersEdge subscription customers and will be more widely available in the future.

“KRTS has some of the finest driver trainers in the industry, and their insights enliven any training session”, said Mark Murrell, president of CarriersEdge. “These videos will make a powerful addition to our expanding set of driver improvement tools.”

“We’re constantly working to provide additional value for our customers,” added Kim Richardson, president of KRTS. “CarriersEdge has proven to be an outstanding system for delivering online content, and by adding our training videos we’ll be able to offer an expanded program to all our students.”
