CLEAN FUEL TRANSFERS

Davco Technology, best known for its fuel filter/water separators, has introduced  its Shop Pro FXP and Shop Pro ST. They’re designed to prime heavy-duty engines, transfer fuel from diesel tanks, and clean contaminated fuel in a vehicle’s tank.

Priming heavy-duty diesel engines with high-pressure common-rail systems can be difficult and time consuming, but Davco says the Shop Pro FXP or ST make the task simpler because they eliminate the need to use a hand pump or maintain reserve fuel for priming in a separate tank. They filter and remove contaminated fuel, sediment, and water in one operation while transferring fuel or cleaning fuel tanks. This eliminates downtime and saves fuel that would otherwise be discarded, the company says.

The custom designed Shop Pro FXP (fuel exchanger primer) incorporates the company’s all-in-one ‘Seeing Is Believing’ fuel processor, multiple fittings/couplers, and either a 120VAC (115 GPH) or 12VDC (91 GPH) motor/pump combination. The upright mobile cart is manufactured from square steel tubing that’s said to provide a durable, stable frame for continuous operation. It’s primarily used in the shop environment, but can also be used remotely if ordered with the 12VDC motor.

The Shop Pro ST (service truck) incorporates the same fuel processor, multiple fittings/couplers, and the 12VDC (91 GPH) motor/pump combination. The compact, mobile cart frame weighs just 54 lb. It’s designed for servicing heavy-duty diesels that are on the road and away from a service center.

Both are guaranteed for five years, the motor and pump for one year.
