CN workers poised to strike

MONTREAL, Que. — Canadian National (CN) Railway workers were poised to strike this morning after a day-long bargaining session failed to result in a labour agreement.

About 6,000 CN workers could strike as early as today.

Clerical workers and workers the union says are vital to CN’s operations are among those who may go on strike.

They have been working without a contract since Dec. 31 and are threatening job action over wages, contracting out services and the inability to find an acceptable dispute resolution method.
