Commercial Truck Orders Lining Up with Expectations

COLUMBUS, IN – North American Classes 5-7 and Class 8 commercial vehicle preliminary net orders for January are lining up with expectations, reports ACT Research.

The January numbers are expected to approach 25,200 units for heavy duty Class 8 trucks and 13,500 for medium duty.

“There were no surprises with the level of order intake in January,” said Kenny Vieth, president and senior analyst, ACT Research, adding that so far, the preliminary net orders are in line with ACT’s 2012 production forecasts.
