CALGARY, Alta. Contrans Corp. is buying the trucking assets of Tri-Line Expressways Ltd. from the company’s interim receiver KPMG LLP.

The company says it plans to keep Tri-Line’s management, employees and Owner/Operators, "to the extent necessary to service the retained business."

The assets include real estate in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Texas, as well as tractors and trailers.

Tri-Line’s trucking-business gross revenue, Contrans says, was more than $80-million for the most recent fiscal year.
