COLUMBUS, Ind. — Cummins now offers three extended coverage plans for its 2002 ISX and ISM engines, in addition to its base warranty.

The offerings lend total coverage from fan hub to flywheel, including all cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and variable geometry turbocharger (VG turbo) components.

“We’re offering these comprehensive Cummins extended coverage plans to give fleet owners and owner/operators complete confidence in our ’02 ISX and ISM engines,” says Tom Kieffer, executive director of marketing for Cummins.

“These plans have been designed to fit every application and budget, and are backed by the Cummins parts and service network of 3,500 authorized service locations across the nation.”

The Cummins Base Warranty already includes, at no additional cost: two-year/250,000-mile total coverage; full parts and labor on warrantable failures; travel or towing for first year from date of delivery; consumables; injectors covered for two years or 125,000 miles, whichever comes first; all cooled EGR subsystem components and the VG turbo.

The three Cummins Extended Coverage Plan options that also are available range from three to five years, with prices from US$800 to $1,800.
