VANCOUVER, B.C. — Cummins Westport has tapped Guff Muench as vice-chair of the board of directors and Hugh Foden as president.

Foden gets the nod as president after serving as Cummins area business director for Southeast Asia for the last two years. He was based in Singapore where he was responsible for sales of Cummins products in 13 countries. As a result of his promotion, Foden and his family will be relocating to Vancouver.

“Low emissions alternative fuel engines are poised for an exceptional period of growth as technology improves and as governments around the world increasingly embrace natural gas as a solution,” says Foden. “I look forward to taking charge of this joint venture and directing it toward even greater future success.”

John Wall, chief technical officer for Cummins, adds “Hugh has the drive and the business skills that Cummins Westport needs to become a multinational success. I am confident that Hugh’s international experience will help Cummins Westport grow as a worldwide force for alternative fuel engines.”
