Dana corporation to supply Spicer driveshafts for Hino trucks

TOLEDO, Ohio — Dana Corporation announced that it has been selected by Hino Motors, Ltd., to provide Spicer driveshaft assemblies for 2005 model year Hino North American Class 4 through 7 vehicles.

Hino’s all-new 2005 model year conventional-style trucks will be available at Hino’s North American dealers beginning in January 2004.

“We are very pleased to be supplying our driveshaft technologies to Hino,” said Nick Cole, president of Dana’s Heavy Vehicle Technologies and Systems Group. “Dana is proud to be a part of these exciting vehicle programs with this global commercial vehicle manufacturer. We look forward to this new business opportunity and to further developing our relationship with Hino.”

Dana will supply Spicer Life Series 70, 100, and 140 driveshafts for the 2005 Hino platform. The driveshafts will be assembled in Dana’s Renton, Wash., Customer Focus Center.
