Delo truck enhancements introduced at MATS

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Chevron’s Delo Truck, a rolling exhibit designed to promote the Delo line of lubricants and coolants, unveiled its interior makeover at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

Since the Delo Truck first took to the road in 1999, it has travelled across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, educating customers and the general public on the importance and proper use of heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and coolants at truck stops, truck dealers, distributors and major trade shows.

The new Delo Truck interior makes visitors feel like they are walking through a truck lube bay. Workstations resembling tool chests offer visitors information on gear oils, transmission fluids, greases, coolants and engine oils. Backlit boards and video screens at each workstation provide additional information about Delo products and guide visitors through the exhibit.

Other new displays include a diesel particulate filter cutaway, a portable coolant refractometer, a grease hologram and an interactive quiz area where visitors can test their lubricant knowledge.

The ceiling of the Delo Truck features the full undercarriage of a 2006 Volvo tractor, highlighting key lubrication points.

Three plasma screen video presentation areas allow visitors to select from eight educational videos at each station, offering 24 videos in total.

The videos address current industry issues like CJ-4 engine oil, 2007 and 2010 emission regulations, gas-to-liquid base oils and ultra low sulfur diesel fuel.

Other videos offer information on Chevron’s Delo product family, field test data and customer testimonials.

The Delo family contains a line of engine oils, including Delo 400 Multigrade (SAE 15W-40 & SAE 10W-30), Delo 400 Synthetic (SAE 0W-30 & 5W-40), Delo 400 Monogrades (SAE 20, 30, 40, 50) and Delo 100 (SAE 20, 30, 40, 50). Rounding out the complete line of Delo products are Delo Extended Life Coolant, Delo Greases EP (NLGI 00, 0, 1, 2), Delo Synthetic Grease SF, Delo Trans Fluid ESI and Delo Gear Lubricants ESI (SAE 80W-90 and 85W-140).
