Detroit Diesel Reman buys DMR Electronics

DETROIT — Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing Corp. said it has reached an agreement to acquire DMR Electronics of Hibbing, Minn. — a designer and manufacturer of industrial electronics since l987. Design. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Friedrich Baumann president of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing said “increased electronics content in the heavy-duty market has required Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing to continue to support our customers with genuine quality remanufactured electronic products.”

Detroit Diesel Reman is a subsidiary of Freightliner LLC, which is part of the DaimlerChrysler Truck Group. DDR remanufactures and markets diesel engines and related component products in North America, including the reliabilt brand.

DMR Electronics is a privately-held company specializing in the design, manufacture and repair of equipment in the trucking, mass transit (both bus and rail), mining and oil drilling industries.
