DON MILLS, Ont. — OK Transport maintenance guru Bill Dinino was named tops in the shop yesterday when he received the Volvo Trucks Canada Canadian Fleet Maintenance Manager of the Year Award.

The presentation took place during the grand finale lunch at the 39th annual Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminar held at the Inn on the Park hotel in Don Mills, Ont.

“The activities and programs carried out by fleet maintenance managers can literally make or break a trucking company,” says John Montgomery, national service manager for Volvo Trucks Canada.

Dinino, has worked a total of 38 years in the trucking industry and has been with the OK team for the past 12 years. He manages a team of two foremen, six mechanics and more than 450 pieces of equipment.

“I think he is very deserving, conscientious and has been in the industry for quite some time,” says Montgomery. “He is a well respected, hard working man who puts in time day or night and hasn’t missed a day in a number of years. He has done a lot for the company he works for and is very fitting for this prestigious award.”
