Direct drive reefer unit

Carrier Transicold‘s 35X direct-drive refrigeration unit is designed to protect perishable and frozen cargo in small- and mid-sized box trucks and large delivery vans ranging from 12- to 14-feet long.

The direct-drive units offer an alternative to diesel-powered units.

The 35X delivers 10,500 BTUs at 35 Fahrenheit and 100 Fahrenheit ambient temperatures. It includes an exterior-mounted condenser, a compressor that mounts to the truck’s engine, and a narrow SlimLine evaporator that tucks against the cargo area’s ceiling. Since it’s a split system, the 35X allows the condenser to be mounted to the nose of a box truck or van roof.

Cab Command 2 digital controllers are used for setpoint configurations and programming the unit for automatic defrost cycles, as well as other diagnostic capabilities and hour meters.
