MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Truck owners with a Ford 7.3-litre diesel engine can now upgrade their air induction system to a patented Donaldson Company, Inc. branded aftermarket air cleaner and replacement filter that uses PowerCore filtration technology.

The PowerCore filter has twice the amount of filter media as conventional pleated media used in traditional engine filtration solutions. The upgraded air cleaner is designed for greater dust holding capacity and efficiency with no impact to engine performance (airflow) compared to the originally installed air induction system.

The Donaldson system can be used on 1999 to 2003 Model Year F250-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 7.3-liter diesel engine. It is designed for vehicles used in extremely dusty/dirty air conditions. The increased dust holding capacity of the PowerCore air cleaner allows for much longer duty cycles in the most severe conditions compared to using the stock filtering system.
