ELECTRIC HOT-WATER PRESSURE WASHER

Kärcher has introduced a new line of electric-powered, diesel-heated hot-water
pressure washers as part of the company’s Liberty Series.
There are 11 models of this new hot-water line featuring a unique hand truck design and tubed pneumatic tires for maneuvering around a wash facility. The models feature electric motors from 1.5 to 7.5 hp and have cleaning power ranging from 2.0 to 3.9 gpm (gallons per minute) and from 1000 to 3000 psi
(pounds per square inch). Models come in many electrical configurations,
including 120, 230 and 460 volts. All models feature a low-maintenance, tri-plunger high-pressure pump.

Six of the models are especially rugged with a belt-drive system connecting the
pump and motor, which translates into longer life due to vibration absorption and reduction in revolutions required of the high-pressure pump. The other five models
are direct-drive, or where the pump and motor are coupled directly to each other.

One extra-compact model, powered by a 1.5 HP motor, weighs only 330 lb, the
company says.

All of these models are made of 1-1/4-inch steel tubing and painted with an epoxy
powder coat finish for all-weather protection. All are also ETL certified to the
UL-1776 and CSA (Canadian) safety standards for pressure washers.
