EUM rolls out faster-binding insurance program for trucking fleets
Exclusive Underwriting Managers has launched enhancements to its auto physical damage (APD) and motor truck cargo (MTC) programs, aiming to speed up insurance placement for fleets and owner-operators.
The Middletown, Conn.-based managing general underwriter said the updated program shifts away from traditional wholesale models by giving underwriters direct “pen” authority, allowing same-day quoting and policy binding, with endorsements processed in hours rather than days.

The offering is backed by A-rated carriers, including partners in Lloyd’s of London, and is designed to support a wide range of trucking operations, from startups to large fleets.
EUM said its underwriting guidelines cover a broad mix of applications, including last-mile delivery, intermodal, auto hauling, mobile home transport, and aggregate hauling.
A key focus is on new ventures, which often face challenges securing affordable coverage. The company said its program is structured to remain competitively priced while offering flexibility through both scheduled and reporting policy formats.
EUM said the model is designed to reduce administrative delays that can sideline equipment, emphasizing quicker turnaround times to help fleets stay compliant and operational.
The company added it is also offering competitive commissions to agents as part of the program expansion.
