FILTER SERVICE INDICATORS

There’s no new product here but filtration specialist Donaldson offers a 4-page brochure that explains its full
line of filter service indicators and their usefulness as a cost-effective way to improve the service life of air
filters used in on- and off-road applications. It includes a chart showing maximum allowable restriction limits set
by engine manufacturers.

Filter service indicators, whether electrical, visual, pressure, or differential, signal when filters should be
changed. These restriction measurement tools provide a dependable assessment of filter service life that is
not possible by visual inspection alone. Although a filter may look ‘dirty’ – in most cases it can go plenty more
miles or hours. Attaching a filter service indicator to an air cleaner, in the ducting, or remotely to reduce
maintenance costs, ensures the longest possible filter life, and provides the best engine protection.

Donaldson offers a variety of devices to maximize filter utilization. Filter service indicators, including models
designed for light, medium, and heavy vehicles, are resistant to vibration, breakage, weather, corrosion, dust, and dirt which assures a reliable filter restriction reading.

The brochure is online at the URL below. It can be saved as a ‘pdf’ file and printed.
