HAGERSTOWN, Ind. — The first Autocar trucks to be produced at the company’s own facility in half a century rolled off the production line yesterday.

The Xpeditor WXLL64 and WXR64 will be fitted with a Heil Multipack refuse collection vehicle body and will be shipped to customers in Tennessee and Florida.

"When we first took possession of the Autocar name, we made it clear that our mission was to become the leader of the LCOE (low cab over engine) truck market," said Robert Atkins, general manager of Autocar Trucks. "Today we are adding an essential capability in our drive to carry out that mission."
